Definition

A Stabilizer Plate is a device approved by the department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, that is installed in front of the ground anchor to resist lateral movement of the mobile / manufactured home and anchor.

Function

Stabilizer Plates come in various sizes and differ in material composition.  Storm Ready Services uses 15 X 18 inch plates that are placed into the ground directly in front of the anchor.  A properly installed stabilizer plate helps prevent the anchor from moving through the dirt in a high wind.
